We, the Current Generation of Youth do not want to leave any mess and dirt that the Future Generations will have to clean up. We do not want to be cursed by the future generations for making their life miserable. We want to leave this world a better place to live in- we want to leave it clean if not cleaner. That is what we mean when we say, NO THANKS I CARRY MY OWN BAG. We carry our responsibilities on our shoulders. That is what being YOUTH means to us.
No Thanks! I Carry My Own Bag follows the mantra of 3R- Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The 3R mantra has a SEQUENCE. First you reduce, at all possible ways. If you can’t reduce, you reuse, and if you can’t reduce or even re-use, then re-cycle. We, the campaigners, are committed to this mantra. We REDUCE the use of Plastic Bags, REUSE the cotton/Jute Bags, and help RECYCLE plastic waste. We realise that there are many things that need to be reduced, reused and/or recycled. Let’s be a part of a ‘solution’ rather than a part of the ‘problem’.
We encourage our friends and elders to get involved in these activities, and be a part of a ‘solution’ rather than continue being a part of the ‘problem’. Together we will clean our beloved country Nepal.
