Two Temporary Learning Centers with four classrooms were handed over by Sadbhaw Scholarships – Nepali Le Nepali Laai to Shree Seti Devi Lower Secondary School in Listikot, Sindupalchowk. The school collapsed by the devastating earthquake of 25 April 2015. The students were forced to study under tents. Previously, Sadbhaw Scholarships had provided Sadbhaw scholarships to 41 deserving students. Additional teaching materials like white boards were also provided to school.
In the TLC distribution ceremony, Lhakpa Thinley Sherpa - board member of Climate Alliance of Himalayan Communities (CAHC) was the chief guest. Rohit singh from Sadbhaw Scholarships and Pradip Khatiwada, National Coordinator of National Volunteering Program represented Himalayan Climate Initiative. Students and Teachers were happy to get the Learning Center.
Previously, student were all occupied to set the classrooms before and after the classes. Now, they will get umpteen of time to focus on their studies. Similarly, the monitoring session was also held. Students who got the scholarships in the last six months were monitored.
