Hamri Bahini ko Pasal opens at Labim Mall

1 October 2016: Hamri Bahini ko Pasal- a green shop of Hamri Bhaini- The Green Angels Social Enterprise is opened at Labim Mall - a famous shopping destination in Pulchowk, Lalitpur, targeting the festival season.

The Pasal was inaugurated by former Miss Nepal Malvika Subba and actor Karma on the first day of Dashain- Ghathasthapana amongst the presence of HCI’s Founder Prashant Singh, CEO Shilshila Acharya and the entire team, and many volunteers.

The Pasal (shop) sells and promotes the biodegradable bags, hand knitted wool toys, clothes, and other green and natural products made by Nepali women in different parts of Nepal.

Labim management in initiation of Mr. Nakim Uddin- one of the owners, provided 5 by 5 square feet’s space at a significant spot to the kiosk of Hamri Bihini ko Pasal in support of the women’s empowerment movement that the Hamri Bahini Social Enterprise is driving.

On the very first day of inauguration, the Pasal had sales amounting to 25 thousand- which was one of the biggest sales in Pasal’s history.

As special attractions to mark the inauguration day, the team had set up stalls on the mall’s premise (outside) where people could design and make their own bag instantly, and also paint their own bag. The ‘pain your own bag’ was the major attraction for the kids, similarly ‘make your own bag’ was for the youth.

The Enterprise has its main outlet at the office premise in Baluwatar, Kathmandu which was opened almost a year ago.
