Awareness on Pregnancy and Maternity care to the waste workers

6 February 2016: Nagar Mitra – Friends of the City recently organized ‘Pregnancy and Maternity Care’ awareness program to the waste workers working in Chabahil, Balaju and Batkekopool clusters. This program was organized in association with Midwifery Society of Nepal (MIDSON). Total six didis were benefitted from this program. They were examined physically and also undergone urine test. Maternity kits and baby kits were also provided to them. Additionally, Clean Delivery kits were provided by MIDSON to the didis. Completion of 5th Batch of Impact Leadership Development Program

5 February 2016: Impact Leadership Development Program (ILDP) added ten more Champions of Sustainable Development in their team. The objective of ILDP program was to educate the young people on the importance of sustainability and the various approaches on sustainable development. A day long training for the National Volunteers to construct Resilient Homes

4 February 2016: Around 30 National Volunteers were provided a day long training to construct a Resilient Home. Surakxit Ghar – Resilient Homes which is a reconstruction program of National Volunteering Program (NVP) organized this training with the prime objective to craft skilled National Volunteers. These trained National Volunteers will then sent to different earthquake affected locations to build the resilient homes. A fun-filled day with Taiwani volunteers

2 February 2016: Around 23 Taiwani volunteers arrived at HCI Social Enterprise Section on the second week of February, 2016 with an objective of spending a day volunteering and learning along with the youth engaged in various solution-driven initiatives. Upon their visit, they were given the brief introduction about all the HCI initiatives by the leader of National Volunteering Program – Mr. Pradip Khatiwada. Active and enthusiast Taiwani volunteers presented the presentation on various sustainable programs at Taiwan. HCI's Board meets in the beginning of the year 2016

14 January 2016: Board Members of Himalayan Climate Initiative (HCI) met to discuss on further strategic plans of the organization, gave their inputs to effectively execute various sustainable programs and projects of HCI.
