Sadbhaw “Nepali Le Nepali Lai” : Flash Mob

The Gen Nep Volunteers performed flash mob (dance) at various locations in Kathmandu to raise awareness and resources for HIV infected children who are struggling to live a normal life and get education at Baby Life Home- Safalta HIV Shiksha Sadan located in Kirtipur. Some eight thousand nepali rupees were raised in the event which took place in Bhatbhateni SuperMarket, Naxal amd City Center Kamalpokhari. The reusable and bio-degradable cotton shopping bags from Hamri Bahini-The Green Angels Social Enterprise is, today on, available at 50% subsidized price at all five outlets of BIG MART Supermarket in Kathmandu, coinciding with the supermarkets’ 4th Anniversary. The supermarket chain kicks off their 4th anniversary celebration promotion today, the 10th of July, until the 21st of July. Hamri Bahini bags are among the 2,000 or so products that will be sold at a discount during the entire celebration promotion period. The supermarket chain is starting to charge its customers 1 Re. for the polythene bag they use, rather than giving it for free as has been the common practice.
