Majesty Education wins Sdbhaw Corporate Cricket- Summer 2017:Resources raised to help the kids of Terai flood victims

Kathmandu, 22 August 2017: Majesty Education Pvt.Ltd. won the first Sadbhaw Corporate Cricket Tournament- Summer 2017 on Tuesday. Majesty overcame Redmud Coffee by 35 runs in the final played at Velocity Arena, Ratopool, Kthamandu.

Electing to bat first, Majesty made 84/4 whereas Redmud Coffee made 49/7 on the eight overs match played on each side. The Semi-Finals of this 2-days Tournament was played between Majesty Education and WWF Nepal, and SUnBi and Redmud Coffee.

The Tournament was inaugurated by Nepal’s National Cricket Team Captain and Goodwill Ambassador of National Volunteers (NV), Mr. Paras Khadka amidst the presence of Himalayan Climate Initiative’s Chairperson Mr. Prashant Singh, and the representatives of all the eight teams playing on Monday. The opening match was played between Redmud Coffee and e-Sewa.

Redmud Coffee, e-Sewa, Majesty Education, Mega Bank, SunBi, NCC Bank, Agni Group and WWF Nepal were the eight participating corporates. All the eight teams played with each other on Monday from which the leading two teams on each Pool- Majesty and Redmud from Pool A and SunBi and WWF from Pool B advanced to semi-finals.

The Presentation Ceremony of the Tournament will he held on Saturday, 26th August where Paras Khada will hand over the awards to the winning teams. The ‘Man of the Series’, ‘Highest Run Scorer’, and the ‘Highest Wicket Taker’ will also be announced on the same day.

Sadbhaw Corporate Cricket is a Limited Overs Indoor Cricket designed to raise resources to spread harmony in our society. This tournament is planned to happen at all four seasons of the year starting this Summer. The resources raised from the tournament will be utilized to give scholarships to needy Nepali children through Sadbhaw Scholarships- Nepali le Nepali laai initiative. Considering the need of the hour, the fund raised from this particular tournament will be given to the children of Terai flood victims. Along with this, eight needy kids from remote Kagati Village in Nuwakot will be awarded with Scholarships packages. 

The Tournament is organized by National Volunteers (NV)- Nepal’s national volunteering network established with the mandate of Government of Nepal. Both National Volunteers (NV) and Sadbhaw Scholarships- Nepali le Nepali laai are the initiatives of HCI.
