Nepalgunj: With its mission to spread harmony and compassion (Sadbhaw) together in the nation, National Volunteer distributed Sadbhaw Scholarships to 50 needy children of Banke district on Thursday. 50 students including 25 children of Freed Kamlari and marginalized Muslim community have been provided with a ‘Sadbhaw Scholarships’ package in Nepalgunj, Banke.
Sadbhaw Scholarships, Nepali le Nepali laai, is an initiative of Himalayan Climate Initiative (HCI) powered by National Volunteer (NV), that has been setup with the vision that no Nepali child drops out of school because of poverty. The scholarship package includes school dress, shoes, school bag, instrument box, calculator, notebook, pens and pencils enough for one year to the poor students that are likely to drop out of school because of lack of these materials.
Mr. Paras Khadka, Nepal’s National Cricket Team Captain as well as Goodwill Ambassador of National Volunteer along with Mr. Anil Kesari Shah, President of Bankers’ Association Nepal and CEO of Mega Bank handed over the scholarships packages to the students.

During the program, Mr. Anil Shah committed to provide 20 more scholarships to the needy children. Sadbhaw Scholarships has been distributed to more than 1,100 needy students till now.
