Kids of waste workers of Kathmandu and needy students from Baglung and Sindhupalchowk get Sadbhaw Scholarships

20 September 2016: 25 Sadbhaw Scholarships – Nepali le Nepali Laai- the smart philanthropic initiative distributed scholarship packages to 134 kids of various districts.

Among them, 55 were the kids of waste workers of Kathmandu and remaining 40 and 39 were the needy and deserving kids from Baglung and Sindhupalchowk, respectively.

The students were studying in various schools in all three districts were provided with stationery materials (copy, pencils, pen, geometry box, eraser, sharpners, calculator, etc.) enough for one year, along with school dress and school bag.

The students receiving the scholarship package and their parents expressed their joy and requested the Sadbhaw team to support them in coming years too.

Executive Director of Central Child Welfare Board, Lalit Agrawal from VG Foundation came to the distribution venue- the Nagar Mitra Social Enterprise in Maharajgunj to distribute the packages to the kids of waste workers in Kathmandu. Meanwhile, Ms. Salara Thapa- who made efforts to collect resources in UK to help the kids back in Nepal went along with Sadbhaw team to Sindhupalchowk for scholarships distribution.

With these distributions, 950 scholarship packages have been provided to needy kids of various districts of Nepal.
