Vanderbilt University volunteers visit HCI

Project Pyramid team working with Hamri Bahini 

 

The project pyramid team of Vanderbilt University Owen Business School visited HCI and worked with Hamri Bahini Social Enterprise voluntarily on the first week of March, 2014. The team was also accompanied by M. Eric Johnson, the Dean of Vanderbilt Owen Business School, Tennessee, USA for two days.

 

In an interactive session organised at HCI office, Mr. Johnsonshared his ideas on social entrepreneurship development. The main purpose of the team’s visit was to help Hamri Bahini in the green cafeteria project.On the final day, the Project Pyramid Team presented the plan they have developed for green cafeteria project including both opportunities and challenges in its effective implementation.

This is the second year on row that Project Pyramid Team has come to Nepal to work on Hamri Bahini projects. Last year, another team from Vanderbilt University had come down to see the Social Entrepreneurship venture and its scope in Nepal where they found Hamri Bahini-The Green Social Enterprise as the first of its kind to pose their social business and economic possibilities and application. The Project Pyramid Team focusses on using the business and economic applications in alleviating poverty in the world.
